The Job We are looking for paralegal staff to assist in our busy practice, working in family and/or social welfare law.
The work is varied but includes assisting other fee earners with case work, attending court with counsel, direct contact with professional and lay clients, and dealing with the Legal Services Commission, as well as administrative tasks. We will consider offering training contracts to suitable candidates.
The Candidate You will need the following:- Knowledge Appropriate academic and professional qualifications: 2.1 honours degree (law or non law), preferably from one of the Russell Group universities; and LPC or BVC, preferably including family law options. Knowledge of IT systems including Word and Excel, and preferably some prior experience of using case management systems Experience Previous experience in a solicitors' practice (particularly working in family or social welfare law), including at least 6 months previous experience of legal aid work
