Sarah qualified in 1983 and in April 1991 set up her own legal aid practice in Bath. Against all the odds, she has managed to survive so far, although she is becoming increasingly pessimistic. She was in the first tranche of successful franchise applications in 1993. She is a Director of Out of Court Ltd, contracted to the Legal Services Commission to run publicly funded mediation services.
